Music for film

In working with film, I tend to function very differently then in music for let's say a traditional concert situation. In film the music itself needn't necessarily tell an entire story of its own, shouldn't be saturating by itself, but rather play a natural role as one of many dimensions. Hence the the composer must be highly adaptive and seek a deeper understanding of a particular scene and of the flow of scenes. I've had the fortune of working with some very interesting directors and producers over the years.
